A Note From the President
My name is Joelle Wojtowicz and I am pleased to be the President of the UMBC
Collge Republicans for the 2005-2006 school year. I am a senior studying
Mathematics. I look forward to working diligently with each and every one
of you to enhance conservative awareness and to defeat liberalism in
Maryland.
I have established several key goals that we will be focusing on this year:
Political Activism: We will be working with the Maryland Federation of College Republicans in order to help elect Republican officials through campaign task forces and voter registration drives. We will openly support Republican candidates and concentrate on re-election efforts as well as specific social, economic, and policy legislation.
Political Awareness: We will actively recruit and maintain members of the organization and party. This will be done through thought provoking programs and membership drives. We hope that our message can spread through campus-wide flyering, chalking, and petition efforts. To make a difference we must be visible. Along with this, we will participate in demonstrations and task forces that will make students more aware of conservative efforts at the international, national, local, and campus- wide level.
Community Outreach: It is our intention to give back to the community as much as we can. This includes supporting community services projects and developing our own programs.
I am proud to serve you as your President this year. In this time of foreign conflict, and the feelings of disdain toward family, faith, and personal freedoms I urge you to stand up and voice your beliefs. It is essential that we unite to recruit and prepare members to lead the party and organization in order to uphold these standards. This is essential in making America a decent, sound, and safe place that will grow and thrive in the genertions to come.
It is a time for motivation. It is a time for change. Become involved! |
