EESA was created to be a model not just to our schoolmates at UMBC but also to the general population of students where-ever they are with in the united states and even the world that even if the two countries were at war at the time, the students and the next generation are able to put aside differences in political views and work towards a unified goal of becoming successful in their education and assist one another irrespective of whether you are Ethiopian or Eritrean in any obstacles you may face. EESA should have no political involvement or discussions whatsoever. Purpose of the organization was that we are of two different countries, who are at war with each other and commonly, people of the two counties did not even associate with each other at the time (even DC had a place called Badme) but we are here in school to achieve one goal and whatever the politics at home we should help each other in a foreign land that we are in to better ourselves and eventually bettering our population at large.
