patapsco valley state park
catonsville, maryland

okay... not really. it actually stretches between bwi airport, arbutus, elkridge, ellicott city, and up to sykesville. located in the suburbs of baltimore, this giant state park makes for great hiking, horseback riding, picnicing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and camping,

and mountain biking

known to be quite technical at parts (but not so much as gambrill), there's a load of trails running through the park.

welcome to patapsco valley state park

one of the stream crossings on the ride in from rt 166

most of the biking trails are in the avalon/orange grove areas (camping, picnicing, kayaking, and canoeing are in other sectors of the park).

parts of the park are extremely hilly, muddy, and wet, making for some awesome rides.
