World Series of College Chess

Main Events:

Pan-American Intercollegiate Team Chess Championship (6-Round Team Swiss)
Open to any college or university team from North, South, or Central America.
Each team comprises four players and up to two alternates (from same school).

Pan-American Scholastic Team Chess Championship (6-Round Swiss System)

For individuals and teams.

Open to any student (grades 1-12) from North, South, or Central America.
Individuals without teams may play in the scholastic event, which is an individual Swiss System (i.e., 1-person teams are fine)
Each team defined as top four finishers from same school.
Winner receives four-year tuition scholarship (worth $69,416) to UMBC.

Pan-American Closed (6-Round Swiss System)
Open to any individual connected with any college or scholastic delegation at Pan-Am (alternates, faculty, coaches, students, alumni, fans).

Side Events:

Exhibition Match (13pm, 12/27). $1000-500-250-250. Single elimination G/10mins. Top four FIDE rated players.
Pan-Am Blitz (12-28, after Round 3). 6-SS, $20/person. 90% of entry fees returned in prizes. Open to all.
